![]() ![]() Lexi has decided to deal with her past trauma through her writing ( even if it traumatizes her sister) while Rue is spiraling further downward. The latest episode features Lexi's school play, which is about her and her friends' lives. Lexi noted that the drugs had the exact opposite effect on her instead of numbing her thoughts, they brought them all to the forefront, which forced Lexi to start dealing with them. During a flashback scene, Euphoria showed viewers the first time Lexi experimented with drugs with Rue. In contrast, Lexi focused on supporting the people around her - including her mother, Cassie, and even Rue with her addiction - so she wouldn't have to deal with her own problems. Rue turned to drugs because she couldn't face a life without her dad, which in turn slowly deteriorated her relationship with her mom and Gia. Rue and Lexi dealt with their traumas very differently. The last time Lexi saw her father was when she witnessed him stealing all their fine china to presumably pawn it in order to sustain his drug use. After a car accident, her father then became addicted to painkillers and stopped having any contact with his daughters. He came to pick them up completely drunk and Lexi was terrified to get in the car with him. ![]() Lexi's father often visited her and her older sister Cassie, trying to keep a steady relationship with them, until he started drinking. Her parents started having financial difficulties which led to frequent arguments and their eventual separation. Lexi had a tragic experience with her own father. ![]()
